What You Need To Know About Causes of Asthenozoospermia

Asthenozoospermia is one of the factors of male infertility. It’s characterized by the reduction of sperm vitality. The decrease of the movement of sperm will reduce   the possibility for sperm to meet egg. That’s why the function of reproductive system of asthenozoospermia patients is abnormal. In order to prevent this disease, it’s necessary to know the causes.

The viscosity of the sperm can lead to male infertility. If the sperm can’t normally liquefy, the motion ability of sperm will be influenced. Slender fibrous protein and mutual reticulocyte are visible in Non-liquefied semen of the seminal plasma, which can reduce the space for sperm activity and tie down the movement of sperm.

2. Inflammation
Acute or chronic inflammatory diseases of reproductive tract, including epididymis, prostate, seminal vesicle, sperm duct, can reduce the vitality of sperm. The inflammation causes are various. The microorganism can adhere to sperm so that the  movement speed  of sperm will slow down. Thus, the sperm activity and the ability to penetrate the egg will be affected, for example, mycoplasma can be absorbed in the sperm head, middle and or tail area.

3. Immunological factors
Antisperm antibodies can affect sperm fertilization function in several different ways. Effect on sperm vitality may be the combination of antisperm antibodies and sperm tail which can obstruct the sperm vitality and reduce its movement. It has been confirmed by the fact that the ability of sperm penetrating the cervical mucus reduces markedly when antisperm antibody exists around the sperm tails.

4. Varicocele
Varicocele can not only affect ability of producing sperm, but also decrease sperm motility. Its mechanism may be caused by the blood retention of varicose veins, the microcirculation disorder, lack of nutrition supply and decreased oxygen partial pressure which can lead to insufficient energy production and endocrine dysfunction.

5. Internal secretion
If the internal secretion hormone is abnormal, it can not only has impact on the development of sperm but also influences sperm movement ability.

6. Chromosome abnormalities
Autosomes and sex chromosome aberration can not only affect the sperm quantity, but also affect the living rate and the movement ability of sperm.

All in all, the quality of sperm plays an important role to male fertility. Therefore, if you are diagnosed with asthenozoospermia, it’s essential to get a timely treatment since this disease can lead to infertility. There’s a new herbal medicine called Diuretic andAnti-inflammatory Pill which can cure the asthenozoospermia caused by inflammatory diseases like prostatitis, epididymitis, orchitis, and seminal vesiculitis, etc. During the treatment, patients can also eat food that can be beneficial to improve the activity of sperm, such as mutton, leek, walnut, mulberries, etc.
