Two Types Of Urethritis:Nongonococcal Urethritis And Gonococcal Urethritis

There are two types of Urethritis: gonococcal urethritis (Commonly known as gonorrhea) andnongonococcal urethritis. They are both STDs (Sexual Transmitted Diseases). The incubation of nongonococcal urethritis is 7 to 12 days. Male patients usually have symptoms of itching and burning urethra, pain when urinating. A few patients can have urinary frequency and slight redness in urethral orifice. The urethral orifice can have a small amount of mucous secretions in the morning. The symptoms are similar to gonococcal urethritis, but it’s milder.  

What is gonococcal urethritis?

The main symptoms of this disease are frequent and urgent urination, pain when urinating and pyuria.
